This one is well beyond me.

Please refer to link https://ufile.io/o9kbq for small sample file.

Essentially…

- The source data is from columns A to C.
- The manipulated date (what I am looking for) is from column F to I.
- The source data has over 25,000 lines.

What I would like is for a macro (or formula) that would :

1. Place an “X” in column C when “Batch” and “On-Off” are the same with ONLY the highest number from both.
2. At the end of this, each “Batch” is to have an at least one ON or OFF in the “On-Off” column.
3. If no ON or OFF is missing from a batch a line is to be inserted with the On or OFF that is missing with a "0" - then an "X" in to be paced in column C.

I tried to be as clear as possible. I hope it makes sense.

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Hi,

I don't understand how "Batch" and "On-Off" can be the same. "Batch" is a number and "On-Off" is text.

They are not the same.... Each "Batch" has a unique number. A minimum of 1 "On" and 1 "Off" will be included in each "Batch".
