Hi all,

Is there a way to do this ???

To save an excel sheet to:

c:\filename.xls

where "filename" is the text content of a specific cell (of same sheet we are saving...)

Note that we compile more times the same sheet , so that particular cell will change its content therefore more "filenames" will be created

Thank you for every answer.

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Is this what you're looking for?

Code:
    ActiveSheet.Copy
    ActiveWorkbook.SaveAs Filename:="C:\" & Range("A1").Value & ".xls"

You could add this to your personal macros if you like, or you could even change Range("A1") to and InputBox so that the user inputs the name for each sheet...

Hope I got the jeist of your question. :)
