I have a workbook with macro button to open another workbook (which has macro in it),

Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()

Workbooks.Open Filename:="C:My Documentsxxx.xls"

End Sub

But when the xxx.xls opens, it does not pop up the security box to select the security option, how to enable this? what should i add to the macro?

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Wow, you're the first one asking how to SHOW that message ! :biggrin:

Actually, I think the way it behaves is by design (And I appreciate it for one !), so, I don't think there's a way to display the message via VBA.

I found a way to solve this, the workbook (xxx.xls) that i want the macro to be disabled, must be opened first, instead of open it by the second which must have the macro enabled.
