I am asking to see if I can get some help...I cant get the logic down.

Lets assume that we have the following data set.
Lot # Location
12345 HT12
23456 HT11
34567 HT12
45678 HT09
56789 HT67
12478 HT22

End result is that I want to be able to easily sort the data like this on a macro versus doing it by hand by moving one cell to another in corresponding columns. Some "Locations" will have multiple Lots underneath.

Also want to mention that the LOT# will be hyperlinked to internal database so that end users can click on the Lot # and pull up that detail page in the company portal.

HT09 HT11 HT12 HT22 HT67
45678 23456 12345 12478 56789
34567

Right now I am sorting the data by hand and its taking me hours.....any help would be greatly appreciated.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Hey mobilesuit818,

I'm trying to understand what you want to do: you start off with one long list with 2 columns (Lot#, Location) and want to shuffle those around so you get your data on 2 rows where the Location is the first row and sorted ascending?

If that is the case: select your total range of step 1, sort them by Location, copy the range and paste special with "transpose". Otherwise: please do elaborate a bit more on your input and desired output.

Cheers,

Koen
