I would like to create a macro that writes a sentence in workbook 2 base on numbers of workbook 1.
For example if k24 is not empty in workbook 1 sheet1 then write a sentence in workbook 2 sheet 1 A17, if U24 is not empty either, then write a sentence in workbook2 sheet1 A15.
The sentences are written in workbook 3 sheet1

I am new working with excel files, any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Jane

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Hi Jane,

so there are 3 workbooks?

are they all separate files? you dont mean sheet 1-3 of the same file?

also if they are different files are the names the same and stored in the same location always?

and lastly for now, are the sentances to write fixed?

cheers

Yes, there are 3 separate workbooks, the names are sale(wkbook1), report(wkbook2) and phrases(wkbook3). The sentences are fixed, we should just be able to add more if nedded. They are all store in the same location.
Thank you,
Jane

How would you know in which cell you will write the sentences?is there a definite pattern?

I was thinking to start on A15. Usually there will be one or two sentences, but it could be more (max. of four) depending on how many items are sold (workbook 1).
