Macro to check Macro Name and Active Workbook before running
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
Hi,
<o:p></o:p>
Can anyone please advise me of the macro code I need for the following :-
<o:p></o:p>
When a macro is select to run (from PERSONAL.xls) the users is prompted via a message box “Are you Sure you want to run the XXX macro i.e. the name of the macro on the active work book i.e. the workbook which is currently active”.
<o:p></o:p>
Which would then allow the user to answer in the usually way i,e. vbYesNo etc
<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Many thanks in advance
<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Rob

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
you will need to add this code at the start of each macro....

MsgText = "Do you want to continue running THIS macro?"
Style = vbYesNo
Title = "Run Macro"
Response = MsgBox(MsgText, Style, Title)
If Response = vbNo Then Exit Sub

and replace THIS with the name of the macro.....

I believe this is the only way it can be done...
