I have a file that is imported containing Text in B2 "BR Southern SalesLedgerOutstandingTransactions.csv"

I would like macro to extract the txt to the left of Salesledger..... i.e "BR Southern' and copy this into AD2

Your assistance in this regard is most appreciated

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
Go to your destination cell (AD2) and put the following formula in it
Excel Formula:
=LEFT(B2, SEARCH("salesLedger", B2)-1)
This formula takes what is to the left of 'SalesLedger'. no need for macro....just copy it down.
