macro to extract page source of a website to excel

Excel Facts

Easy bullets in Excel
If you have a numeric keypad, press Alt+7 on numeric keypad to type a bullet in Excel.
If you have hyperlinks on your worksheet, this page explains how you can extract the underlying url using a udf:

http://www.ozgrid.com/VBA/HyperlinkAddress.htm

Which probably prompts the question: how do I get the hyperlinks into excel in the first place?

For that use the "Get External Data" web query functionality:
http://www.mrexcel.com/tip103.shtml

You'll probably need to play with the query options, I suspect that Full HTML formatting will be needed to avoid the Boxscore coming over as plain text.

thanks for the 2 references. I have checked them but still could not get the link for "boxscore". this is the reason I wanted a macro that would download the page source...this contains the link

sorry i'm stumped. the method to get the links onto an excel worksheet generally works. however, it does depend on how the webbuilder has configured the original tables. in this case, the hyperlinks are lost.

sorry i can't be more help this time.
