Macro to populate data

Happy Tax Day (for some of you)!

Trying to find out if the following is possible. I'd like to create a macro such that when a person's name is typed in a cell, a separate set of cells populates with data pulled from a worksheet containing the person's data.

So, for example, I have created a scorecard template. Rather than have 50+ scorecards for each individual, I'd like to have one template upon which the individual's respective data can be pulled into the appropriate cells based on the name entered in another cell on the template (or a pop up in which the name is entered)

Does this make sense?

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
I was thinking of that or index/match so that I don't have to have my data in a specific order. It would have to include many if/then statements with 50+ employees. I'm not sure if a formula allows for that many conditions. I believe it's restricted to say 10-15. I'd assume a macro would be more efficient.
