I have data that is linked to various workbooks.

I would like a macro to prevent values being updated where "finalised" appears in Row 5 in various columns.. For eg. where "finalised" appears in B5 , then all then data in Col B must not be updated when opening then workbook,

all the other columns can be updated where finalised in not in row 5

this must be sheet specific as I have several sheets

It would be appreciated if someone could assist me

Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
