Macro to Remove Duplicate Entries

Hello all,

Trying to write a macro that will remove duplicate notes within a range of titles. I have two columns, “Title” and “Notes.” These columns can be in any column letter or order, so I’d like to use the header in row 1 to identify.

If a Title has the name note twice or more, then remove the duplicate notes(s), keeping only one instance of the duplicate notes. For example:

It would be something like: IF Title = Title -1 AND Notes = Notes -1 THEN clear contents of Notes in Notes -1.

Thanks Krishnakumar! That worked!

Would there be any way to adjust the macro so that instead of columns letters (a:b), the macro uses the header in row 1 to identify these columns. The headers are "Title" and "Notes". Reason being is that the columns are not always in the same letters or order.

Unforunately, I get an error message (subscript out of range) when I try moving the Title column to any other place besides column 1. The error message highlights this row:

If Len(k(i, 1)) * Len(k(i, 2)) Then

Also, I see that I can specify the Title column in this line:

Set rngTtl = .Rows(1).Find("Title", lookat:=xlWhole)

Where can I specify the Notes column?

Hi,

It searches 'Title' in row 1. I assume that Notes column resides very next to Title column.

Can you post a screen shot of your data ?

Title and Notes can be in any column or order, which is why the macro needs to search column 1 to find the correct heading. Notes is not always next to Title. Thank you so much for your help on this.
