I've got data in 150 different worksheets in one folder and need to grab the data in column D6:D1310 in each of these files and place it in columns on a summary sheet. The summary sheet has the title to each worksheet as the column header in row 5. I can copy the link to one spreadsheet across all the columns and just do an alt/edit/replace with the correct file name (the data is housed in the same location in each file), but is there a way to get excel to do edit/replace for me? I need it to grab the filename in row 5 and replace it in each of the rows 6:1310 about 150 times across the rows. Thank you!!

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
have you tried recording a macro? you could record the macro when you do it the first time, then copy and replace the name as needed until you're done (((surely there's an easier way - but....) from then on out you could just push a button....
