macros and slicers

hello, i would like to know if i can assign a macro to excel slicer or not and if yes how.

the reason is i need to change value based on selection of slicer like from quantity to amount or percentage.

I seem to recall some issues when assigning a macro to a slicer. The macro gets assigned, but then the slicer selections are not honored. Frustrating.
