Hi,
I am a teacher and today, my pupils could not save any macro's in excel 2007. I tried to change the file type to 'macro enabled work book' but they still wouldn't save.

By save, I mean they save the file and when they open them, the macro's are not there. Is there an option that needs changing? Obviously, the machines are networked, could there be any problems associated with that?

Any help is greatly appreciated,
Cooler

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
Are you sure the macros were not accidentally recorded/written in the Personal Macro Workbook, or other workbook?

Hi, thanks for your reply Peter.

I am not at work until tomorrow so may not be able to check. Where is the personal Macro Workbook?

Where is the personal Macro Workbook?
It is normally in the XLSTART folder but when in Excel, if you have a Personal Macro Workbook, it will have opened automatically when you start Excel and you proceed as follows.

Open the VB editor (Alt+F11 from Excel) and look in the Project Explorer at the left of the VB window. If you have a Personal macro workbook it would be shown in the list and you need to locate the macro(s) you are working with and see which 'VBAProject' they appear in.

I won't be around for a few days now so if you need more help hopefully somebody else will step in.
