I have got formula in Cell A1, which is referring to another cells value. I have used the absolute fromula =$D$5.

Absolute formulas are supposed to maintain the formula to =$D$5...

When I am adding a new Colum before Column B, that is between A and B, so that my column B becomes C and the rest of the columns are pused as well.... this mucksup the Absolute formula sitting in Cell A1!!!

the Formula gets updated to =$E$5 (as if it was a relative reference)....

I want the Cell A1 always refer to the the call D5, no matter how may rows are added before and after column D. Always refer to Column D???

Any help?
