Has anyone any ideas why my copy of excel keeps crashing on exit? The files I am using have complex macros but evrytime I shut them down it says excel has encountered a problem and needs to close. This is only happening on my laptop running xp home and xp office, the files work fine on w98 with office 97.

Has anyone experienced similar problems? Could it be the macros?

I have done a full Norton AV check and run the repair wizard for offce XP.

Hi

Not knowing much about excel but I know about computers, the problem I believe lies within XP, Windows XP and also Office XP have lots of bugs and compatability problems, and you saying it works with previous versions only makes me think more that its not macros or excel thats the problem but the operating system you are using. Try to test this theory on someone else who also has Office and Windows XP.

I work in IT support and we wont support any XP products because of these issues.

Good luck
