Can you please help me? I am to show an EXCEL and Power point display which contains some confidential info which I need to mask with some kind of masking characters like xxxxxxxx such as found on receipts. So the audince will not be able to see the confidential info.

You could format the cell with something like

"*************";"*************";"*************";"*************"

but turn off the formula bar as well, otherwise the real value will still be visible there.

Juan, can you explain to me what you mean by formating the cells with the quotes and astrix's? Is that in the cell formating window?

I don't see Juan around ... what is intended is CUSTOM NUMBER Formatting the cells to show asteriks instead of the actual entries. You could howver use the following CUSTOM NUMBER Format ...
