Hi all

I am just wondering if anyone has any tips an tricks concerning making excel not look excel.

Ive created a worksheet which will be used a lot i want it to look as little like excel as possible.

In the workbook open event i have a few line to make it a full screen and remove gridlines, any other suggestions greatly appreciated.

In particular is there code so i can remove every menu from excel but....I only need the user to be able to do a file save??....

Thanks for your input, i appreciate it (As always)

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
Sheet tabs, scroll bars, formula bar, status bar, row & column headers, etc. are all things that can be turned off in Tools>Options>View. Some of these can just be turned off for the particular workbook you are using so there’s no need for coding them in.

You can even turn off the toolbars. Toolbars can be customized very extensively according to ur needs.

Hi thanks for the replies

If i remove all the toolbars will it do it just for that workbook?

I dont want to lose all my toolbars when i open up a new instance of excel.

Thanks

What you can do is record a macro while you manually turn all the "stuff" off.

then you can add that code to your Workbook_Open code..

make sure to create a workbook close code to turn it all back on. Users really hate it when you take away toolbars and don't put them back......
