hi everyone,

is it possible to make an executable file from an Excel workbook? may I know how?

many, many thanks!!

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
If you mean make a standalone program that doesn't require users to have Excel then no, unfortunately not. Unlike Access, Excel doesn't have an option to make runtime files.

Well, you can make add-ins to add functionality to your workbooks etc, or have your file run a macro on opening, but you can't really have an executable file. What are you thinking of doing exactly?

I have heard of a program called Microsoft Developer that does this sort of thing. (converts an excel file to a working sheet not needing excel to run) I overheard the conversation so I didnt get much info, other than what I have told you. Maybe good to look into.

I think the Developer's version of Office only allows you to create runtime versions of Access, not Excel, unless you mean something different.
