can any one help me with how to turn a function that I have written in VB to an "add-in" so that it is available in all workbooks?

Thanks,

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Put your function in a standard module of a blank workbook
Hit Alt-q
Click File, then Save As, from the dropdown Save as Type, select Microsoft Excel Add-In (*.xla), it should be the last choice, give it a name, a place to save it and Click Save.

Thanks!!

That worked perfectly! Do you know how to add an explaination of the function so you can see it when it is selected from the insert function menu?

Thanks for your help!!
