Does anyone know how to remove numbers in excel, I need to to remove 2 last digits from a 5 digit zip code making it into 3 digit zip code.

Thank you so much

Re: Last quick question

When I use any of the formulas it works but I lose 0, for example if I have a zip code that starts with 06003--- I only get "60" not "060".
If you have the zip code entered as a string (use the ' character when entering it, '06003) then the =LEFT(A1, 3) formula will work (060).

If the cell with the zip code is a number (not a string) then 06003 would appear in the cell as 6003. If you are getting 60 then you can't be using =LEFT(A1, 3) or you would get 600 if it had been entered as a number.
