Greetings,

I have a macro, that i would like to be available when I first open excel, and be available to run on all spreadsheets that I open. How do I go about that?

Thanks,
Brad

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
What do you mean "all spreadsheets that I open"?

Do you really mean "all workbooks that I open"?

If so, record or compose the macro and stick it in your personal macro workbook, which will run on the workbooks on your computer.

If you need the macro to run in workbooks that would be opened on someone else's computer, or if you really did mean spreadsheets instead of workbooks, then you need a different answer, so repost with those details if that's the case.

I guess I mean the workbooks that I open, on my computer.

How do I get to the personal macro workbook?

Many thanks,
Brad

When you first start to record a macro, take a close look at the Record Macro dialog. From the drop-down list in the "Store macro in" field, select "Personal Macro Workbook".
