Making multiple comparisions using a +/- variable.

Hi all,

This is something I've been working on and I'm quite stumped. I'm sure it's a simple solution, but I've been going through my books and can't find the answer, probably because my understanding at this point is still limited.

As you can see, I've posted what I'm working with. I want to be able to do the following.

Take the .618 of Reaction 1 (1.2670) and compare it to the .382 of Reactions 2-5. Then compare R2 618 to R3-5 .382 and R3 to R4&5 and finally R4 to R5. In the comparision I want to set a +/- using a variable from .0001 to .001. Then if there is a match, let's say I'm using an .0008 variable, then R1 .618 will match up with R2 .382. This would then be displayed in a separate cell.

I know it's asking a lot. I've actually gotten quite a bit of it done, but to be honest, it's quite convoluted and I'm sure there has to be a much simpler way of doing this. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

it would help if you could download colo's html maker (see the lik below this post) & use it to post up a snapshot of you sheet that inlcudes some representative data & an indication of the results you expect...

Ok, will do.
