Hi,

I have a list which the items were ranked by me according to different parameters.
now I've decided to change the ranking of few, and I need to excel to change all rankings accordingly.
For example, if no 5 became number 1, than no. 1 should be ranked no. 2 and so on.
I've tried to think of some formula that will give different score to each item, but got confused....
How can I get "new rank" automatically?

A13
B244

E59
F655
G711
H810

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
oferav,

Try the following Array formula. (Confirm with Ctrl + Shift + Enter and Excel will add the curly braces)
Excel Workbook
ABCD

2A1*3
3B244
4C3*8
5D466
6E5*9

Hope that helps.
