Mark Read appears to work fine until I exit and re-load the forum. Then everything reverts to Unread.

Suggestions?
 
If you use the back arrow the page may so unread items but if you refresh the page it should show as read.
 
Note that the "Excel Questions" forum literally gets new posts every minute. So I doubt that you are going to be able to keep that read in "Read" status for more than a few moments, at best.
You will probably have more luck with the other forums.
