I would like to have column B indicate a number 1 if the corresponding contents of column A are formatted in bold. Can anyone guide me on how to accomplish this?

Thank you.

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
You can put this code in the WorkSheet module to get what you are after.
Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range)
    Set rng = Range("A1:A" & Range("A65536").End(xlUp).Row)
    For Each c In rng
        If c.Font.Bold = "True" Then
            c.Offset(, 1).Value = 1
        End If
    Next c
End Sub
