Mass Rename PDF Files

Is there a way to update the file name of several PDF files in Windows Explorer at once? I have several files saved with the date followed by the invoice # and I simply need to remove the date portion. Sorry if this is the wrong forum.

I'd recommend powershell.
The code would vary depending on what your date looks like.
