Hi folks,

New to the Forums, and first time poster here.

I'm using Excel 2013.

To give you some context into my problem; i have data (a list of names, next to this list i have other fields for Yes, Data, or Blank) which exceeds over 9000 entries.

From another source i have another list of names, around 1000. What i am trying to do is find the names from my second list in my first list. Once i find them i want to see if they have a Yes, Date or Blank in the other columns.

What i have been doing thus far is selecting the data going to conditional formatting > highlight cells rules > duplicate values.

Great! This highlights all names in my second list, and highlights the duplicates from that in the first. So my question is, is there any way i can filter out ALL the other names in my first list except the highlighted duplicates?

Does that make sense? I hope it does, and i hope there is a solution as what i have had to do right now is manually search through the first list and pull out the highlighted names.

I would really appreciate any help.

Thanks all,

Skyco
