I have received a spreadsheet from someone and it has hundreds of radio buttons and checkboxes. Is there a simple way to go in and delete them without manually clicking on each one and hitting delete?

Thanks in advance for any pointers you may provide.

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
Try this: press F5, click Special, tick Objects then click OK. Hit Delete.

Duh...... I guess I should have followed directions and hit the special button.

Problem with this is it selected all and some of them I want to keep.

You can use Select Objects tool from drawing toolbar (Excel 2003) to select those controls you need.

Which version of Excel are you using?

In 2010, and probably earlier, there is a Selection Pane that can be accessed From the Find & Select menu/dropdown.

If you open that then you should see all the objects listed and if you followed Peter's instructions (apart from the deletion part) the show all be highlighted.

You could then go through the list of objects, deselect the ones you want to keep and then delete the rest.
