Match Function

Hi,

I have data in 2 columns. There are come common values in both Column A & Column B. What I want to do is to find out what all is missing each of the columns.

E.g

Col A ColB
GG BB
CC CC
DD DD
AA FF
ZZ EE


Not sure what the best way to do this is. Should I use Index or Match function.

Hi Vanessa

You don't say what kind of layout you want for the result and so I don't really understand what solution you need.

If you just want to find them out you ca use in C2:

=IF(COUNTIF($B:$B,A2),"","TRUE")

In D2:

=IF(COUNTIF($A:$A,B2),"","TRUE")

Copy down thse formulas

If this is not what you need, please post an example of the expected output.
