# MATCH FUNCTION

I am using the formula "=VLOOKUP(\$A9,Sheet2!\$A\$4:\$AX\$277,MATCH(G\$9,Sheet2!\$A\$1:\$AX\$1,0),FALSE)" in Sheet1!G\$10 to look up ACTUAL which is working fine, but "Sheet 2" has ACTUAL and FORECAST in alternating columns and I would like to use the above formula in Sheet1!G\$11 to show the Net Forecast.
Sheet 2 Column A has product codes Row 1 has dates (IE C1 has the date for actual & D1 has the same date for forecast)
I guess my question is can theresult of the Match Function give a result from a different cell?
I hope this is makes sense............

Thank you,
I have had a look at this and it does make sense, but I cannot seem to phrase it correctly within the above formula.
As a rank amateur with Excel I will need an EG for this if you dont mind?
