Matching 2 Cells to Another 2 Cells Enter Value

Hello,


I appreciate that the subject title is very vague but I will endeavour to explain my self now.

I have 2 tabs on a spreadsheet containing assessment data for students. Tab 1 contains the students name and the subject they are learning. Tab two contains the student’s names, every school subject and a list of grades.

Now, the students do not take every subject in the school, so this is where my problem lies. I only need an assessment grade for the subject they take. So, what I would like to be able to do is to match the grades from Tab 2 into tab 1 but only if they take that subject.

I'm not sure how to update images.
