I know this will take VBA which I have no experience in, so hopefully this can be done or someone can suggest a method to accomplish the end state. I have some data on one side of the sheet that shows the location of an item and a date in columns. For example in Column C: A2 Column D: 12 Dec 16. The location is the physical location in a warehouse the item is stored and the date has conditional formulas that show when said item goes out of date.

I then have a "map" of the locations in the warehouse. So for example starting in Column O going down I have A1, A2, etc. I would to be able to reference the data and then check the "map" and have it color according to the conditional formatting. So if location B4 has an item in it and it is green it shows green or red, then that same color shows in the "map" for that location.

Hopefully this shows in better detail what I'm trying to accomplish. So first column is location of good in warehouse, second is date it was entered and has conditional formatting to know when it is expired. The 5th,6th, 7th, etc have are the "map" of the location in the warehouse.

Is it possible to check first column to see if it equals any locations in the "map" and then to color code it on the map. From what I've read Excel cant determine what color is applied during a conditional format, so could I just add another column after the date and just label it as a "good" and "Expired" and use that as a conditions check for color coding in the map?
