So, I have a long 1600 line sheet with a text description of each item in every row. THEN, I have a word document which contains the same items, descriptions and corresponding box numbers, but completely out of order. So, my goal is the find the the correct BOX NUMBER for each line item in the excel sheet from the information in the word document.

The way I was going to approach it was to try and port the word document info into excel. Then, I wanted to try to assign a certain property to each item which would correspond to the box number. With that I would like to have excel perform a search of each description in the original file to the ported file and then display the box number from which it came.

Okay, please let me know if I need to clarify anything here and if it is possible. I really don't want to ctrl - F each and every description to do this.

Thanks!
