hi all.. not a mathleet by any means..

I sold 1 of product A last year, i sold 2 this year..
% increase;
(This year - last year) / last year = 100% increase

I sold 5 of product A last year, i sold 0 this year
using the same formula = -100% (shouldn't it reflect -500%)?

Hi,

That's actually correct, because the 5 represents 100% of your annual sale, not 1.

If you had sold 100 last year, and 0 this year, it would still be 100% decrease, not -10000%.

But that would not be a legitimate percentage decrease calculation...
