How would you solve this in Excel?
(1+x)^5 * 3 = 4.5

I don't know what to do with the power of 5.

I get (1+x) = 1.5 but then I don't know how to solve for X using Excel.

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
Hello

Do you put all constants in cells? If yes, what cells do you use - then I can write a formula that references the same cells as you do.

I'm trying to figure out what X is.
So I can get to (1+X)^5 = 1.5 but I need to come up with a way to get X = .084 (or whatever it is).

if you A1=5 and B1=1.5 then in C1:

=B1^(1/A1)-1
