Matrix Multiplication

At the risk of asking a stupid question, I'm having some problems with matrix multiplication in excel.

The formula I'm using is something like:
=MMULT(OFFSET($B7,0,0,1,D$3),TRANSPOSE(OFFSET(MonthlySales!$B18:$DW18,0,126-D$3,1,D$3)))

When I select the formula after the "=" sign and hit f9, I can see the answer in the form {1}, which implies to me that the formula itself is working ok.

However, when I try to populate a cell using
=MMULT(OFFSET($B7,0,0,1,D$3),TRANSPOSE(OFFSET(MonthlySales!$B18:$DW18,0,126-D$3,1,D$3))) I get a #VALUE! error.

Any idea what might be causing this?

Thanks

If you start asking yourself if now is a good time to save your Excel workbook, the answer is Yes
Without looking into it properly, is this not an array formula that you enter with Ctrl+Shift+Enter?
