matrix puzzle

matrix or frequency count puzzler. I have six weekly columns and under each week, alpha characters appear. You'll note that the letters "a" and "d" recur through all six weeks which is the desired outcome (find all letters which recur for all 6 weeks). What is the formula to count and assess this goal, assuming the table with the actual data is much larger?

do you know what the characters are going to be? can the same character appear more than once in the same column?

The chars in each cell can repeat multiple times, for example in the first column there might be multiple instances of "a". The chars in each cell can be long,complex strings of mixed alpha and numeric.​
