I am using the following function in an excel spreadsheet and the value it is returning is 0. This function is looking down column A for a specific individual's records, then returns the most current date for that particular individual from column B.

=MAXA(IF('AK_DATA Copy'!$A$2:$A$56070=A2,'AK_DATA Copy'!$B$2:$B$56070))

When I open the function dialog box, it shows the correct value (date) I want displayed in the spreadsheet RATHER THAN 0. Can someone please help me??!! :rofl:

Excel Facts

Difference between two dates
Secret function! Use =DATEDIF(A2,B2,"Y")&" years"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"YM")&" months"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"MD")&" days"
Welcome to the board...

make sure you are entering the formula with CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER

Highlight the cell with the formula, and press F2
then press CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER

When entered correctly, the formula will be enclosed in {brackets}

Hope that helps.
