maximum rows 16384 ?

hi

we run TM1, a datawarehousing system, in excel

we have just upgraded from excel 2000 to 2002

when you try to take a snapshot and take (say) 20,000 lines through, it says "Error: maximum rows 16384 exceeded, rows truncated"

it fills in to 16384, but the spreadsheet still has 65536 rows if you go to the bottom

some hidded limit has sneaked in with the upgrade ??? 2^14 instead of 2^16

can anyone help?

On our Microsoft Excel Version 2002, I entered 1 in A1, 2 in A2, then grabbed the highlighted A1 and A2 and dragged down to line 65536. I then did a Copy of A1, went to Sheet2, cell A1, and did a Paste. All 65536 cells were pasted, with the series 1,2,3...65536.

I then highlighted column A and used the Camara tool. It gave me the warning that "The picture is too large and will be truncated". I clicked OK, then clicked on cell B1. I got the series 1, 2, 3 ... 1927, or 2^10 + 3, much less than your 10^14. How about that?

Is there anothe way to "take a snapshot"?
