Maybe a Cache Problem

By way of introduction: I have a 3rd party spreadsheet that connects to that companies stock server and provides the basis for my buy/sell orders. I say this to indicate that there are large areas behind this spreadsheet that are a mystery to me.

My problem is that the spreadsheet grows. By this I mean that over time the size of the spreadsheet increases and at some point it just stops working. This makes me have to revert to a clean version which may not have all my small formula updates. I believe I understand that if this were a cache issue, closing and saving the spreadsheet (which happens daily) would clear the cache. This does not work.

Is there anything that anyone can think of which might cause this odd behavior.

Thanks in advance.
