# Median year-to-date

Hi all

I am looking for a simple excel formula to achieve a median year to date, referencing the current month.

A1: Month today (2, February)
B2:M2: Months (all)
B3:M3: Values (all)
B4: show me the median up to the month specified in A1. E.g. if A1=3, then median=9. Example 2: If A1=5, then median=66.

Any clue, anyone? I am a bit lost.

Many thanks
Bellaqueo

### Excel Facts

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.

Hi & welcome to MrExcel
Excel Formula:
``=MEDIAN(B3:INDEX(B3:M3,MATCH(A1,B2:M2,0)))``
or
Excel Formula:
``=MEDIAN(FILTER(B3:M3,B2:M2<=A1))``
