How to calculate loan payments in Excel?
Use the PMT function: =PMT(5%/12,60,-25000) is for a $25,000 loan, 5% annual interest, 60 month loan.
This does not solve my problem.

I would like to clarify the problem more clearly:

I enter 1 in cell 1 and 2 in cell a2 , while 0 in b1 and 1 in cell b2.

Now I want to merge both the columns (a,b) and and get the result in column c1 as 1 and 2/1 in cell c2.

Please provide a suitable formula to help me get rid of the problem.

=IF(B1 = 0, A1, A1 &"/" &B1)

however if there's a 0 in the column a it will put 0/b not sure if this is what you want. or if you want it to be just 0.

The results you listed in your example, are exactly what are returned by my formula.
1
2
3
4/2
5/3
6/4
7/5
8/6

You must be putting it in the wrong place. Your data columns in your example were column B for the first number, and column C for your second number. If they are different you will need to change the formula cell references.
