I have a problem for some month now. I am not sure wether this can be solved.

I have 2 files which both have macro's, knobs to activate these macro's and pictures which are manipulated by macro's
Now I want to merge these two files including the micro features.
Up to now I have copied all sheets from file 1 into file 2 and imported all modules from file 1 into file 2.

The problem is that all knobs in the sheets orginated from file 1 stil refer to macro's in file 1. (and not to those in de combination of files)
Also many pictures are re-numbered.
To make the combination of these two files work, I have to re-address all macro's of knobs and all pictures orginated from file 1 by hand.
This is a hell of a job.

Is there somebody who can help me to solve the above probleme?

Thanks in advance,
hansbQR

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
welcome

as you're able to do it by hand, likely there is someone who could help you automate it (or maybe with a lot of learning, you can do it)

if there is a lot of work involved, please have a look at consultants. MrExcel's consulting services might be a good place to start :)

all the best. regards, Fazza

Dear Fazza,
Many thanks for welcomimg me to MrExcel.
I am struggeling with this problem for some time now without any result.
Doing it by hand is a solution, but is not only costing a lot of time, but also the failure rate is rather high.
So I prefer an automated solution, but I am aware that it is not a simple problem to solve.
I still hpoe someone can help me.

for sure someone can help
the forum is great for solving specific problems
the description of the requirement is high level - and that is handy

to provide useful advice to achieve the result wanted requires low level detail
suggest you post very specific information about specific steps you're stuck on (in new threads)
