How do I sort a colume in a spread sheet that, I guess, contains merged cells? I didn't create the spread sheet and have never worked with merged cells.
From the looks of the spred sheet it appears that the last few cells of each row have been merged under that row.

The message I get when I try and sort on colume 'm' is: "The operation requires the merged cells to be identically sized".

THX,
Harry

Can you lose the merged cells?

If that's possible I would seriously recommend it, merged cells are just evil. :devilish:

:devilish: MERGED CELLS ARE THE DEVIL!!! :devilish:

Seriously. MSoft should never have given us the option.
You can create the same effect by going into:
Format > Cells > (ALIGNMENT tab)
under the HORIZONTAL Text Alignment choose: Center Across Selection

This is always your better option.

I agree....they are evil, but I have a spread sheet that has the last few cells of each row merged under that row and I need to to sort on that data.

I'd be glad to share the spread sheet if I knew how.
