Hi,

I'm a bit of a newbie with Excel. Please could someone help me.

I have 2 worksheets, sheet 1 and sheet 2, and I want to merge the matching data from sheet 2 onto sheet 1.
The problem I have is I need to use times, in column B, and names, in column C, to cross reference with the same data on both worksheets.
I've looked at VLOOKUP but all the videos etc. only show how to use one column of data as a cross reference.
I also tried to concatenate the times and names into one column but couldn't get it to work, I ended up with a long string of numbers.

Unfortunately I don't know how to upload the worksheet here or a jpeg.

Thank you in advance for any help and guidance.

Matt

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Dadders,

Welcome to the MrExcel forum.

I don't know how to upload the worksheet here or a jpeg.

You can post your workbook/worksheets Sheet1, and, Sheet2, and, what the results (manually formatted by you) should look like, to the following free site (sensitive data changed), mark the workbook for sharing, and, provide us with a link to your workbook:
