Merging data from diff files

i have twelve files which have month wise sales data. but a few payments are recd whereas others pending. is there a way bywhich i get all the data into a single sheet which are pending.
for reasons i cannot use a single file for the months.

say i need all aug sep pending payments.

i have 12 workbooks (12 months respc.) for some data.
it contains info like..
"Sr" "Pdt" "Plant" "Currency" "Amt." "Duty Amt" etc. & "Paid/Not Paid-PD/NP"

now what i want is in one single workbook collate all the data for items which are not NP.
some file where it just pulls up data abt all items which are not paid from all the workbook.

i hope its clearer now. pls if u can help me.
