I am trying to pull information from a list of students in excel to a Letter. I would like to be able to allow the merge to pull all data based on a name.
Is there a way to pull the data based on a name through a merge without having to do it manually?

I have attached a example letter of how I want it to look like after pulling the information and a spreadsheet I would like to pull the information from.

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
Hi, if I understand your query correctly you can use your spreadsheet as a straightforward mail merge in Word. This link can explain the process if your experience with this is limited: How to mail merge from Excel to Word
You just select the column headings (field names) required at the correct location in your letter and when merged this information will be displayed correctly. (Use preview if you would like to see how this should appear.)
Feel free to ask further questions if you are still stuck!
Good luck

I want it to pull the Data from the spreadsheet based on a students name so that it only pulls the associated information. When I use the Mail Merge in Word it will pull only one and not all of the information that is associated with a given name. The Mini-sheet is just a short part of the list and the letter that I have attached is what I would like for the end result to be.

Sorry for delayed response. I realise now that each letter may have different number of records. I can see that working better with Access than Excel.
But I have put together a sample for you here - basically its about where you put 'Next Record' that it will move to the next row of data.
(Sorry couldn't attach actual solution - hope this helps...)

So you think this will search the Spreadsheet and find the information that I am looking for, regardless of the number of rows per student, based on a Students name?

Yes - probably best to create a template, preview and then move from one record to next to ensure each is on correct page.
Hope that makes sense
Good luck
