Method "range of object_global _failed

I have some simple code

Range("B" & Start & ":S" & end).copy

I am getting the 1004 error. I dont understand why? If I substitute Numbers instead of the variables it work. Am I missing something.

What are the actual values of Start and end when the error occurs?
