Hi,
I have 3 columns of data (Mass,Area and Volume) for 10 different
spheres. It looks like
Sphere type - -mass -- area -- volume
I -- 1 -- 12 -- 20
II -- 4 -- 18 -- 36
III
...... till X
I want one line showing mass on x axis, area on y axis and volume
on seconday y axis, in plot area. I can plot three different lines but
I want only one line with ten points on it. This line shows relationship
between all three variables (mass, area & volume).
Your help will be really useful.
Thanking you.

Excel Facts

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
Explain exactly where, for example point number 1 would go ... it would align with the 1 on the x-axis, but how would it align with 2 different y-axes? You need a different type of chart in my opinion ... how about a bubble graph?

In certain circumstances one can simulate the effect of 1 series on 2 axis by plotting 2 series, one on each y-axis and then synchronizing the min and max values of the 2 axis so that the 2 series overlap each other. Don't know if this technique will work here, but an example is

Another alternative, already suggested to you, is a bubble chart.

A third option that *may* work and that too only if 2 of the dimensions contain equidistant values is a surface chart. For how and why the limitation see

Sorry for the confusion. I have one sphere and therefore
it has mass, surface area and volume. How I should represent
or plot this one point (becz one sphere) in chart where
mass is on x axis, area on y axis and volume on secondary y axis. Total 4 columns as follows,
Sphere -- mass--area-- volume
I--1--12--20
So similarly I have ten spheres with different
variables and finally I can draw one line through all these
ten points. Waiting for your reply.
Thanks.

Have a series for mass vs area, and another for mass vs volume, and plot the second series on the secondary axis, for each of the ten sets of data, ( or, in fact, one series for all the mass vs area figures, and another for mass vs volume ).
